The Venice Nokomis Woman’s Club celebrated their 95th Anniversary on Saturday, March 20 in honor of 95 years of service to Venice by handing out bakery cookies, with 95 on them, to honor their foundress, Louella Albee, who held the first club meeting on March 20, 1926. It was appropriate to hold the birthday ceremony in front of the William Jervis Library as Mrs. Albee was the inspiration for the Venice public library system and the VNWC donated over $100,000 to the new Jervis Library in 2018.
