Salvation Army Angel Tree 2020

Members of the Venice-Nolomis Woman’s Club  volunteered for the Salvation Army Angel Tree   

 Recognizing that every child deserves to feel the joy of Christmas, The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to more than one-million children and families in need each year.   Once a child is accepted as an Angel, donors like you can shop for their Christmas wish list. Once the gifts are received, The Salvation Army will distribute them to families in need for Christmas morning.  Take a look at all the wonderful donations VNWC sorted out for local families.

Lisa is sorting donations used for the forgotten angels – the Angel Tree tags that weren’t chosen are returned to SA. Volunteers “shop” the donations to make these children’s wishes come true.

Parents are able to shop for other children that weren’t on an Angel tag but who might otherwise miss Christmas.

– Finally, distribution day! The gift bags, bikes and other items are ready for pickup.

– Gift bags are checked for content and supplemented if needed then inventoried before distribution.
